Senior Account Executive – Data Storytelling & Insights

This agency is seeking to hire a Public Relations Senior Account Executive with a specialization in data storytelling, consumer surveys, and insight development to join their growing team of data storytellers. As part of their research team, the ideal candidate will be able to effectively research the news landscape, brainstorm newsworthy story topics, design surveys, support in data analysis to identify press-worthy angles and interact with journalists and influencers to place the data stories in target outlets. Candidates should show a strong understanding of how data-led content is used within editorial coverage and what makes an idea newsworthy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of work experience in journalism, PR and/or research
  • Passionate about data-driven content and how data can be used to create an editorial narrative
  • Understands the news landscape and how to identify trends
  • Ability to forge relationships with journalists at target vertical publications
  • Experience in survey design / questionnaire development
  • Experience in data analysis and demographic crosstabulations
  • Strong copywriting and editing capabilities
  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets
