D.C. based marketing agency. The company works with clients in a variety of sectors, especially consumer and healthcare. There is an immediate opening for a full-time broadcast/PR publicist with experience in radio and/or media relations. You will be responsible for the following: write station alerts, book guests on radio shows, handle station and client relations, be up-to-date on news and current affairs, understand databases and software, write updates and final reports and script and produce radio spots and features. We are looking for someone who understands the future of radio and new ways to use audio content. 3-4 years’ experience required.
The ideal candidate would be someone with 2-6 years of experience in radio and media relations with experience from a broadcast PR firm and a PR agency and experience pitching to radio.
Environmental non-profit in San Francisco. This position act as the social media expert within the company and externally for their clients. You should be an active participant in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc. and well-connected with the broader social media world. You will be responsible for educating the management team and others across the company on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the culture and into all of the non-profits services. In addition to education and training, you will:
- Create a comprehensive social media strategy to define programs that use social media techniques and implement and manage these social media programs.
- Research and recommend new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities.
- Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to increasing the use of social media.
- Measure the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts
We are looking for someone with 5-10 years of experience with a recent focus in social media. Non-profit experience is helpful, but not necessary.
Environmental non-profit agency. San Francisco. This position will be building the marketing communications function for the agency itself. This person will be developing all the marketing collateral, optimizing their new website as well as working on internal communications projects - their intranet, internal newsletter, etc. This will be the first marcom person the company has employed, so they need someone who can be strategic and tactical. Looking for 5-10 years of experience and currently residing in San Francisco. Non-profit or environmental exp. isn’t necessary, but would be helpful. The person should have experience marketing services, not products.
