About the Role Our client, a leading communications firm, is seeking a full-time Account Executive to join their Bay Area team. The Account Executive provides support to project managers on public communications, community outreach and media relations as well as coordinates and executes special events, public hearings, social media activity and market research. They are seeking an individual who is ready to support unique communications needs by developing tailored strategies and tactics that get results. They want strong writers and researchers – those who enjoy jumping in and learning everything they can about a client or project.

Location & Schedule This position operates on a hybrid schedule, with 2-3 days onsite in the San Francisco office. Travel is required up to 15-20% of the time. This role will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of client projects and daily operations to support the development and execution of communications and public engagement plans
  • Lead or support client communications efforts, including tours, community presentations, and public updates
  • Participate in internal strategy meetings to align on client goals and messaging
  • Draft, edit, and maintain project documentation such as meeting agendas, website content, stakeholder databases, and project files
  • Partner with clients to create compelling content for social media, websites, advertising, videos, presentations, and collateral, aligning with the overall communications strategy
  • Collaborate with internal and client-side creative teams on the design and production of communication materials
  • Plan, coordinate, and staff public meetings, special events, tours, and workshops—including outreach, vendor coordination, setup, facilitation, and breakdown
  • Manage advisory or community committee processes, including research, administration, documentation, and event support
  • Respond to stakeholder inquiries and conduct outreach activities such as canvassing and field engagement
  • Track and report on media coverage, stakeholder engagement, and social media performance to guide planning and measure impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including community members, partners, and public officials
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities for expanding client services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations or related field
  • 1+ years' previous Public Relations or Community Relations experience required
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred
