Our client is a fast-growing marketing and communications agency specializing in connecting brands with multicultural audiences. Founded just three years ago, this innovative agency focuses on historically underestimated communities including Black, Hispanic/Latine, AAPI, LGBTQ+, and other diverse audiences. With approximately 40 team members, the agency maintains a startup feel while working with major entertainment studios and streaming platforms.

Role Overview

We're seeking an Entertainment PR Manager with multicultural expertise to join our client's expanding PR team. In this role, you'll drive PR campaigns for film and TV projects targeting diverse audiences, develop media strategies, and build meaningful relationships with entertainment media.

Responsibilities

  • Execute PR campaigns for major studios and networks with a focus on multicultural audiences
  • Manage day-to-day pitching and press outreach for entertainment clients
  • Develop and implement media strategies for film and TV projects
  • Build and maintain media lists and conduct regular media audits
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and review their work
  • Project manage multicultural entertainment campaigns
  • Collaborate with team members across the agency

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of entertainment PR experience
  • Agency background required
  • Strong media relations skills with entertainment contacts
  • Experience working on film or TV PR campaigns
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Digital savvy with understanding of social media platforms
  • LA-based

Preferred Qualifications

  • Personal connection to or deep understanding of multicultural communities (Black, Hispanic/Latine, AAPI, LGBTQ+)
  • Experience targeting diverse media outlets
  • Experience with talent publicity (secondary to entertainment project experience)
