We are on the lookout for an Account Director of Public Relations who combines strategic thinking, creativity, and a detail-oriented approach to leadership. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about the hospitality industry, including restaurants, hotels, and food and beverage brands. You will work alongside leadership at this integrated marketing and PR agency in the Bay area.

Role Overview:

As a key leader in our client's public relations department, you will be responsible for campaign strategy and execution for high-profile clients in the hospitality sector. Your role will include media outreach, client leadership, operational support, and team mentorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead public relations campaigns for clients across the hospitality industry, focusing on media relations, influencer relations, and brand strategy.
  • Provide senior counsel to clients, offering innovative solutions and building strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Oversee and guide projects involving marketing, social media, and launch strategies.
  • Encourage and lead cross-functional teams in public relations, marketing, and brand strategy.
  • Manage internal and external communications strategies for clients, ensuring cohesive messaging and brand alignment.
  • Handle operational aspects of the public relations department, including performance reviews and managing scopes of work.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to ensure client satisfaction and drive strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of public relations experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional media relationships within the San Francisco Bay Area, regional California, and national outlets.
  • Strong creative, strategic, and communication skills, with a passion for food, restaurants, cocktails, and travel.
  • Excellent writing skills, adept in crafting everything from press releases to client newsletters.
  • A natural networker and team player who can effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
