As a Public Affairs Manager, you will leverage your exceptional communication skills and strategic relationship-building expertise to drive complex, high-impact projects for our diverse client base.
This is a collaborative opportunity between two premier firms, focused on community and digital outreach, and the largest public outreach firm in the state for infrastructure, including land use, energy, transportation, and water projects. We are seeking a seasoned public affairs professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about mentoring others while leading impactful initiatives.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic communication plans for projects requiring government or public support
Draft compelling content, including white papers, opinion editorials, talking points, and strategic plans
Create engaging and innovative collateral for presentations, digital media, and advertising campaigns
Educate communities about projects through targeted outreach and events
Build and manage support coalitions to drive project success
Act as the primary point of contact, maintaining communication and building trust with clients
Manage project strategy, deadlines, and team member assignments
Collaborate with the creative team to develop impactful campaigns within budget parameters
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal development
Qualifications:
5-9 years of public affairs or community relations experience
Proven success in managing strategic outreach campaigns
Experience leading project teams of 2-3 employees
Previous public relations agency experience is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior organizational and multitasking abilities
Confidence to take initiative and problem-solve
Familiarity with the local political landscape
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, political science, or a related field
